Who we are
K-Tiling is a tiling company based in Aberdeen, Scotland, run by Kamil Kiszczak. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about your data, email us at contact@ktilling.co.uk or call +44 7707 162997.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form we receive your name, phone number, email address, town or postcode, the type of work and your message. If you contact us by email, phone or Facebook, we receive the details you choose to share.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a free quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To plan and carry out the work if you book a job, and to keep the records the law requires, such as invoices for tax purposes.
We do not use your details for marketing and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
- Web3Forms, the service that sends the contact form to our mailbox.
- Our website and email host, which stores our website and emails.
- Trusted trades (plumbers, electricians and joiners) only when they work on your project, and only the details they need.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed jobs are kept for 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Just email contact@ktilling.co.uk. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
- Your browser's session storage remembers that the opening animation has already played, so it is not shown again on every visit. It is deleted when you close the tab.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the 3D animation library from jsDelivr. To deliver these files, your browser connects to those services, which can see your IP address.
- Links to our Facebook page take you to Facebook, which has its own privacy policy.
